FOURTH IDLE DAY
BELFAST FREEZING WORKS. (Pros Assn.) OHRJSTCIIUIK'II, -May 16. For the fourth day the slaughtering chain was idle at the Belfast works of Thomas Borthwick and Sons, Ltd., to-day. No steps were taken after exploratory talks between the company and union officials on Thursday to negotiate a settlement of the dispute. Both sides appeared to he waiting for a declaration of his attitude by the .Minister of Labour (Hon.*P. C. Webb) and it is clear that unless action is taken hv the AJinister killing will not be resinned on Monclay.
