(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Oct. 6. The headquarters ol the “free’ French forces announce that a number of national committees are being created in all foreign countries where, there are important colonies of French people. These committees are acting in close co-operation with the “tree French forces and in the framework of the laws of their residence. At the moment such committees have been set up in the following countries: Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile. Mexico, Canada, the United states, Egypt, South Africa, Australia and Mauritius. In 20 other countries private individuals of French nationality have offered their services in this respect, and General de Gaulle has (selected in each of these countries representatives who have been duly appointed and are setting up national committees wherever these do not exist already. The announcement adds that from all parts of the world the headquarters of the “free” French forces have received messages reaffirming their loy a Wy to the “tree” French movement. These messages have particular significance after the Dakar incidents. General de Gaulle has replied thanking the signatories for their encouragement and reaffirming his belief in final victory in co-operation with the Allies.
