SYDNEY, Oct, 7. The weather for Randwick is fine and the track is splendid. The Herald says High Caste was responsible tor the best performance of his career when he won the Epsom. He was lame on the morning of the race and lame again yesterday. High Caste gave Mildura a long start into the straight and had his measure a fair way from the winning post. Commenting on the Derby, # the Herald says the race resolved itselt into practically a half-mile sprint and was not, as should be, a test of stamina. „ The secretary of the Australian Jockey Club stated that he would bring under the notice of the committee the advisability of placing a condition in the Derby requiring the face to be run in a reasonable time, otherwise the prize money would be reduced-
