FEILDING STOCK SALE.

SPLENDID CATTLE SUBMITTED.

For the cattle fair at Feilding to-day a splendid entry of well-grown cattle came forward, and although numerically the offering was not. as large as last year’s, it was of good size, and compared very favourably with the quality seen at previous spring fairs. There were some particularly fine A.A. yearlings offered, and also a good array of 4 and 5-year bullocks. In the fat cattle section there was a fair entry but little ex-dairy beef was offered. The fat sheep section was fairly well represented, but the store sheep consisted mainly of ewe and wether lambs. The flush of. feed and the rain last night made competition for the run cattle particularly keen, and the values made in t.hc female section were highly satisfactory, lowconditioned A.A. cows making in some instances £6 18s. The cxcel’ent tone of this market was maintained in the bullock section, wherein file prices realised indicated a very strong demand.
