PALMERSTON NORTH CLUB. On Saturday the A and B grades of the Palmerston North Ladies’ Golf Club will play a bogey competition and fourball matches and the C grade will play an eclectic competition. Play/ commences at 1 p.m. sharp for the former grades and at 1.30 p.m. ior the latter. Anyono unable to play is requested to ring Airs J. B. AIRS D. WILSON WINS TITLE,
By steady golf, quite up to New Zealand scratch standard. Mrs D. Wilson (llutt) won the championship at the Aliramar Ladies’ Golf Club’s open tournament yesterday. In the morning, she beat Mrs Ferguson (Aliramar), holder of the Auckland club’s title, by 2 and 1 in the semi-finals, and went on to outplay Airs Farmer (Miramar) in the final in the afternoon by 3 and 2. Following are the results of the open championship: Semi-finals. —Airs D. Wilson (Hult) beat Airs Ferguson (Aliramar), 2 and 1; Airs Farmer (Aliramar) beat Aliss Stevens (Aliramar), 2 and 1. Final. —Airs D. Wilson beat Airs Farmer, 3 and 2. The Aliramar Handicap was won by Airs E. R. Wimsett (Palmerston North) who beat Airs Cunningham in the semi-finals and Airs Alurphy in the final.
