ST. PETER’S PARISH.
LADIES’ GUILD BAZAAR
The annual bazaar of St. Peter’s Ladies’ Guild was held on Wednesday afternoon and, in the unavoidable absence of the Mayor, was opened by the vicar, Rev. E. S. Ramson, who spoke of the need of the church for support, especially at the present time. He also said that the church owed a debt to the guilds, and complimented both the Ladies’ Guild and the Ladies’ Auxiliary on their work, thanking them on behalf of the vestry. The stall-holders, he added, were to be congratulated on the excellent stock of goods they liad collected for the bazaar.
The stalls and stallholders were:— Produce, Alisses D’Atli, Deroles and Mrs Ranson; apron and fancy stall, Mrs Malcolm and helpers, sweets, Airs Mewett, Alisses Wallace and Webster; work stall, Alesdames T. R. Aloore and Cutten ; cake stall, Alesdames Roberts, Bennett, and Furneaux; flower stall, Mrs I l '. Sollitt and Aliss Lancaster; tearooms, Airs S. J. Parkes and helpers. Airs Aloore (president) and All’s Cutten (secretary) were in charge of the general arrangements. A satisfactory sum was raised.
