DIVIDED MAIDEN RACE.
BELLE CANE SCORES EASILY. Belle Cane scored a very easy win in the first division of the Maiden Race. She went away three furlongs from home and won by five lengths. Sweet Anno and Courting were the early leaders and Bello Cane and Don Quex were handy. Bello Cano moved up to be two lengths ahead of Sweet Anne at the three furlongs peg and was not afterwards threatened. Turning into the straight, War Credit and Don Quex were handy. The former went out wide and was beaten into fourth place by Sweet Anne, Don Quex maintaining his position to be second. ALL QUIET’S LATE RUN. All Quiet won the second division, going to the front approaching the straight and winning by a length from the early pacemaker, Loyal Queen. Loyal Queen was attended in the early stages by Taane Pango, with King’s Mark Glen Donald, AH Quiet and Gold Court handy. All Quiet moved up to third place and took the lead entering the straight. Gold Queen held on for second, being halt a iengtli ahead of Star Zone, with Taane Pango fourth.
