EX-MINSTER’S ADVOCACY. (British Official Wireless.) Received August 13. 10.50 a.m. RUGBY, Aug. 12. Addressing his constituents, Mr L. Hore-Belisha (the former War Minister) emphasised the necessity of carrying the war into the enemy’s camp and not being content with a policy of destaging that Britain must contemplate the creation of at least 100 army divisions, Mr Belisha said the British people must appreciate forthwith that it is not possible to defeat the most ruthless and highly organised nations engaged against us, supported as they tacitly are by other powerful satellites, unless they ’ impose the most resolute efficiency-in every compartment of national life.
