The House of Lords next Wednesday will hold a debate on India following the answer by the Secretary for Tndia (Mr L. S. Amcry) in the House of Commons last Thursday and the issue of a White Paper with the terms of the Governor-General’s authorised statement of the Government’s intentions in the constitutional question. Lobby correspondents anticipate that' the House of Commons will also wish to discuss this subject next week. CONGRESS ATTITUDE. Received August 12, 12.30 p.m. BOMBAY, Aug. 11. Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the Congress president, said: “I am not meeting the Viceroy at present, because I cannot find any scope for further 1 discussion. The Congress Wbrking Committee is meeting at Ward ha on August IS and will formally reply to the Viceroy.”
