GENERAL NEWS.
BASKETBALL. The following are the results of basketball games played in Feilding on Saturday:—Old Girls A 19 v. High School 11; Kias Bv. Old Girls’ B 7; Swifts 15 v. Toas 10; Cobbo’s won by default from Rex. c Golf. The four-ball best ball bogey competition played by the Feilding Golf Club on Saturday resulted in the best score (8 up) being secured by R. 11. Farquharson and M. Waldin. Among the other cards returned were the following:—C. B. Thomas and D. C. Cullinane, 7 up; W. N. Fry and H. Giesen, 6 up; J. M. Campbell and W. Drube, 3 up; J. 11. Mason and C. Ewen, 2 up; K. G. Salmond and J. S. Tingey, 2 up; E. M. Hare and L. M. Giesen, all square.
