JAPANESE PROTESTS.
REFERENCE TO EAST INDIES. TOKIO, April 19. The Japanese Press choruses resentment concerning Air Cordell Hull’s implications that Japan is harbouring aggressive aims against the Dutch East Indies. The Niehi Niclii Shimbun says: It will inflame and not restrain the Japanese, who are angered over the unfriendly and unnecessary American interference.” The. Domei News Agency says that the Japanese Army’s blockade of the British Concession at Tientsin will be lifted following an agreement between Britain, France and Japan which will be announced shortly regarding Chinese silver at Tientsin.
