HOLLAND REPLIES
RESISTANCE WITH ARMS. “PROTECTIVE” MOVES. STATE OF SIEGE EXTENDED. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Received April 20, 10.10 a.m. THE HAGUE, April 19. The Premier (Jonkheer I). J. de Geer),-in a broadcast said the Government, in the interests of neutrality, had decided to extend the state of siege throughout Holland.
The Premier, whose broadcast was relayed fo the Dutch East Indies, said Holland was ready to place her services at the disposal of the belligerents.
Holland’s Peace Palace was open to these nations. v Holland would resist with arms any attempt, to extend protective assistance. The same applied to her overseas
possesions.
