Air li. Fortune, of Timaru, wrote congratulating the association on the fine manner in which the Spring Show had been conducted, ilie punctuality being more marked 11 in ll at tile iiity other shows lie had attended. Alcssrs Collinson and Cunninghame, I. td., wrote suggesting that the rules governing tlie competition ior a team of three school ])onics, lor which the firm had donated a trophy, be amended to provide that it be won three times in succession be)ore it could be held in perpetuity. —Referred to the horse committee. The Royal Agricultural Society advised that it had recorded the nomination of Air A\ . T. Bailey as a judge of light horses. — Received. The Minister of Defence (Hon. F. Jones), in «. letter, expressed appreciation of tlie high ' egard in which tho committee held the officers and men of the Alaori Battalion in camp. Alcssrs Vile and B. F. Keillor were appointed delegates to the annual con-, feronce of the Royal .Agricultural Sueiotv. ' On behalf of Air J. Linkhitcr. ATr J. A. Russell gave notice of intention to move at the annual meeting that the rules be amended so as to provide lor the election of a representative of tlie Palmerston North Chamber of Commerce and such other organisations as the committee shall from time to time deem advisable. A vote of appreciation was accorded Air H. Voss for donating six tons of straw and Air J Kernalian lor pressing it free of charge. If was decided to take steps to have the rules brought thoroughly up-to-date and that the organising committee be reappointed
