COMBINED DANCE.

CHRIST’S COLLEGE AND NGA TAAVA. . A successful dance was held by members of the Alanawatu and West Coast branch of the Christ’s College Old Boys’ Association and of the Manawatu branch of the Nga Tawa Old Girls’ Association, in Al'.ss Gwen Gibb’s studio, on Friday evening, taking the plac-e of their usual combined annual ball. The studio was attractively decorated with Iceland poppies, birch and forsythia. The crests of the two associations were placed prominently at either end of the room. Mrs A. E. R. Joblin (president of the Nga Tawa Old Girls’ Association), wearing blue moire taffeta, and Air C. G. Aloore (president of tbe Christ’s College Old Boys’ Association) received the' guests. Alembers of the combined committees were Airs Joblin; Aliss B. Nash, in green and gold shot taffeta; Alias R. Gillies, black and magnolia flowered satin, with magnolia satin jacket; Miss Yvonne Rap ley, ice blue slipper satin; Mrs A. Guy, black chiffon, with coatee of broderie anglais; Alessrs C. G. Moore, H. Kissling, J. O’B. Beckett, A. H. Guy, R. Kay, Q--0. AVilson, A. E. Anderson, T. Hitehings and H. Harman. Aliss B. Nash and Air H. Harman were joint secretaries. The proceeds will he donated to patriotic purposes.
