The Geraldine Racing Club’s (Spring meeting was concluded in overcast weather and rain overnight mado the track soft. The attendance was good and the totalisator handled £11,397 10s, as against £14,280 10s last year, making the total for the meeting £19,271, as against £23,681, representing a drop of £4410. ‘ At an inquiry by the judicial committee as to the rightful trainer of Lady Don the committee decided that rule 143 (para.
a) had been broken because (he horse had been trained by R. W. King, an unlicensed man, and they decided to award tile stakes in the Oliapi Hack, run on tlio first day, to St. Cloud, the runner-up. Lady Don was disqualified for Ibat race and also for the second day and the owner, G. R. Hunter, was fined £5 for the breach of the rule. King was also tilled £5. As the result of St. Cloud being declared the winner of the Oliapi Handicap ho became ineligible to, run in tile Wainui Handicap to-day. Results:—
