“FASTING UNTO DEATH.” SYMPATHETIC FAMILIES. HUNGER STRIKES STAGED. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Received July 3i, 11 a.m. JERUSALEM. July 30. Seventy families related to SO political prisoners, who are now in their fifth day of “fasting- unto death” at the Snrafend concentration camp, are carrying on hun-ger-strikes in sympathy at the Great Synagogue in Tel Aviv. The Chief Rabbi (Very Rev. Dr. J. H. Hertz) has sent a memorial to the British authorities claiming the release of 16 inmates at tho Snrafend camp who, it is alleged, have been detained six months without trial under the emergency regulations, but still havenot been released though they had served their first sentences.
