ASSOCIATION AVI HI FAR AIT NG. “1 have come to Palmerston North to declare tlie AA'inter Show officially open, and I regard that as a very great honour,” said Sir Harry Batterbee, High Commissioner for the United Kingdom in New Zealand, at the civic reception accorded him today. “On niv mother’s side I come from a line of farmers. My forbears bred Romney Marsh sheep lor 300 years. I thought that you had Romiicv Marsh sheep here in New Zealand, hut I find that they are Romneys.” (Laughter.)
