Thanks are due to Air G. Romlcy for repairing the front gate. Giving to the curtailed programme for B'ebruary and part of March the ball will be held Jator this year. The committee decided to write to tho board renewing its previous application for assistance with the artesian well, as it was of (ho opinion that the board was not cognisant of the position regarding costs and application for subsidy. Tho committee cannot apply until details have been received from tho Education Department. There was a very good attendance at the euchre evening of the National Party. An interesting evening was held in the local hall when the Whakarongo Bible Class entertained St. Paul’s Biblo Class. Maunder, and for Whakalougo Aliss W. Vauticr. Air K. ICmtdsen, Aliss 11. Wood and Mr 1. Vaulicr. The chair was taken hy Rev. C. Eaton, and AJrs Eaton was also present. The attendance at ping pong is being well maintained.
