NATIONALISTS ADVANCE.
BATTALIONS SURRENDER

A Nationalist statement claims that their troops have advanced to a depth of 25 miles on the ('ordoba front. It adds that entire battalions of Republicans, including their officers, hoisted the white flag. Prisoners and deserters already exceed 10,000.
I The Nationalists also claim that ‘they captured large quantities of arms and material, including several artillery batteries.
A Lisbon message states that Republican deserters have told the Nationalist authorities there, that fighting has occurred in Madrid between civilians and the troops.
