WINNER’S GOOD FORM.
PEARL OF ASIA SUCCEEDS. Despite her recent hard racing, the Limond filly Pearl of Asia added to her laurels as she finished strongly to win the Stonyhurst Juvenile Handicap decisively from La Bru, who ran much better than yesterday. The winner has a record of three wins and two seconds in her ki.st five starts. Pas de Cheval was the only defection from the field. La Bru was smartest out from Miss lyeighon, Millament and Pearl of Asia, but Vascones soon ran up to be in first place, and attended La Bru into the straight. Lutanist being followed by Miss Ijoighon, Pearl of Asia and Millament. Pearl of Asia got La Bru’s measure in the run home to win by a length, Vascones hanging on to be a similar distance away third. Millament, who was fourth. ran a_ good race. Then followed Lutnnist, Kriemjiild, and Globe Trotter. Botanist, the favourite, was drawn wide and disappointed. Kriemhild made a good showing. but Globe Trotter, who does notappear to be right at present, failed badly, though he received a cheek which sent him back to second to last from the turn.
