POPULAR FRONT.
SUPPORTERS WARNED BY LABOUR PARTY. LONDON, March 6. Two Labour members of the House of Commons, Messrs Aneurin lie van (Eblnv Yale, Monmouth), and G. R. Strauss (Lambeth North), have made speeches defying the warning given them by the executive of the Labour Party to “sever all connections with Sir Stafford Cripps.” Sir S Lifford Cripps, a prominent Labour member oi’ Parliament, was recently expelled from the Labour Party because he advocated the formation of a Popular Front, with changes in the Labour Party’s policy if necessary. Sir Charles Trevelyan, a former Labour raemlier of Parliament, has adopted an attiude similar to that of Messrs Revan and Strauss. The warning has been issued to seven leading niemliers of the Labour Party who were associated with Sir Stallord Cripps in advocating a Popular Front. They include Mr C. C. Poole, M.P. (Lab.) and Mr Will Lawther, actingpresident- of tlie Mine Workers’ Federation. If Mr Lawther is expelled, the miners may desert the Labour Party.
