ST. ANDREW'S DRAMA CIRCLE
PLANS FOR NOW SEASON. Members of St. Andrew’s Drama Circle are showing keen interest in the new season’s work, and there was an excellent attendance at the opening meeting, in the Memorial Hall, last night. Miss L. C. Thompson, the newly-elected president, welcomed members and outlined the programme lor the year. .It had been decided to hold playreadings at one meeting every month and to devote the other monthly evening to studying authors and dramas. This had been very popular in a previous year’s programme. An interesting one-act play was presented under the direction of Mrs C. L. Turnbull, the east being: Mosdames R. C. Donald, It. L. C. Aitehison, L. Plimmcr, Misses N. Bowden, M. Codtrey and J. Williams, who all gave excellent performances indicative of careful rehearsing. A varied programme of readings from letters, essays and other works was then given b.v members. Supper was provided by Mrs A. Mortland and Miss Thompson.
