TREATMENT OF JAPANESE.
INCIDENT AT SINGAPORE. Received March 22. 1.30 p.m. LONDON, March 21. The British Government has replied to the Japanese protest alleging illtreatment of Japanese at Singapore, stating that the raids were carried out in accordance with the law. The results showed that certain Japanese nationals intended to engage in activities prejudicial to the colonics’ security.
Recently in Singapore tho police arrested several Japanese on charges of espionage.
