BULLS-OHAKEA SPORTS.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) BULLS, Feb. 20. Although the weather was dull and windy, rain held off on Saturday, and the Bulls-Ohakea annual sports meeting on the Domain was a great success. 'J ho fields were large in the majority of events, and the finishes were very keenly fought. All the officials carried out their duties capably, and the programme was kept well up to time. The "lion, secretary (Mr C. B. Anderson) and his assistants arc to he congratulated on the smooth running of the meeting. The attendance, which would have been larger if the morning weather conditions had been more promising, was nevertheless quite satisfactory. The president (Mr C. K. Vile) thanked patrons for making the gathering such a success, and introduced Mr E. B. Gordon, M.P. for ltangitikei, who presented the trophies won by the schools. He thanked the president and the committee for inviting him to attend, and said that the grounds were a credit to the club. The sports meeting, ho said, was a good opening for “Fitness Week,” and he congratulated the winners arid losors on their efforts. An apology for absence was received from lion. J. Cobbe.
