MIGRANTS FOR AUSTRALIA

The Sydney Morning Herald’s Canberra correspondent says that refugees from Europe are expected to bring £4,500,000 in new capital into Australia in the next three years.
In the last half of 1938, it is estimated, European migrants brought in half a million pounds. One migrant coming to Australia has notified the authorities that he can transfer £20,000 to Australia at a moment’s notice.
