BOOT JUST BEATEN.
Received February 16, 1.5 p.m. SYDNEY. Feb. 16. The New Zealander, V. P. Boot, in his last appearance in Sydney, finished second in an invitation 440 yards handicap race at Rushcuttei’s Bay Oval last night. C. J. Sefton (15 yards) was the winner in 50 3-5 seconds. Boot was inches away, his time being 50 7-10 sec.
