WOMEN’S DIVISION.

•The Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union monthly-meeting was held at Maharahara when Mrs It. Reid presided over a small .attendance owing to sickness in several of the members homes. In the absence of the secretary (Mrs Klein) Miss Knyvett acted as secretary. A letter of thanks was received from tho secretary of the M.ukogai Leper Fund for a donation. Arrangements were completed for the children s Christmas tree party. The competition for the best 6d gift' for the Christmas tree was won by Mrs Bartlett. Several toys and cash donations were received for which thanks were extended to the donors. The January meeting is to be held at the residence of Mrs Hancox, and the competitions will be the best .article made from 11 yards of print, the entries to be given for the garden partv stall, and the best piece of Christmas cake. The president extended Christmas greetings to all and thanked members for their support and help in the activities of tile branch during the year.
