CABINET RECONSTRUCTION.
BRITISH GOVERNMENT POLICY. LONDON, Oct. IS. • The political correspondent of the Daily Mail believes that Mr Chamberlain will not act until he has decided on the extent of the Cabinet reconstruction necessary. It is expected that the names of the new Cabinet Ministers will be known at the weekend, enabling a start-to be made on consideration of the problems of foreign policy and defence. The correspondent adds that Mr Chamberlain aims at reaching an uu derstanding regarding the political and economic problems of Euiope followed by an arms pact to end the armaments race, assuring national security for all.
Although no arrangements have been made for .further meetings with Herr Hitler and Signor Mussolini, it is clear that contacts with them are contemplated in the near future.
