.' AUSTRALIAN GOLF TITLE. ADELAIDE, Aug. 23. J. Ferricc again struck devasting form in the quarter-finals of the Australian amateur golf championship. He beat the veteran, Ivo Whitton, 14 and 13. Ferrier had a morning round of 71.
The South Australian, C. L. Winser, slipped badly against W. Rymill, who won, 12 and 11. J. Barket beat Higgins, 10 and 9, and Payne beat Horman, one up. In the professional championship. N. von Nida beat Petterson, 7 and 6; G. Naismith beat A. Toogood, 7 and 6, E. Cremin beat Harvey, 1 up; Booth beat Anderson, 3 and 2.
