BENEFIT CONCERT.
The Palmerston North Orpheus Society has preparations well in hand for the presentation of an Alan Loveday benefit concert. Tho citizens of Palmerston North need no encouragement to attend a concert which, has as its aim such a. worthy object, but the promise of an obvious musical treat will lie an undoubted further incentive to be present at the Opera House on Saturday, July 2. 'The people who were fortunate to be present at the society’s concert in conjunction with Sonia Chostiakoff and Vincent Ryan will remember the delightful singing of this male voice choir and will look forward with keen anticipation to hearing them again in bright and, well-chosen numbers. The great attraction will, of course, be the op portunity patrons will have of once again being thrilled with the playing of Alan Loveday, who will have asosciated with him Mr Russell Laurenson, tho Wellington baritone, whoso singing is well-known and fully appreciated in all parts of New Zealand. Miss Myra Sawyer, the talented soprano singer of Wellington, will- bo another assisting,, artist. Local talent will be further represented in tho form of instrumental -items by artists under Miss D. Southey -Baker.
