The Daily Telegraph’s Berlin correspondent says: A lion cub was among the hundreds of birthday gifts to Hen Hitler, the flow of which occupied a special corps of protective guards piling them up throughout the day. Dr Goebbels (Minister of Propaganda) gave a bound volume of all the speeches during tlie period of the Austrian annexation, including Ui Schuschnigg’s farewell address. Herr Himmler (Leader of the Black Shirts) gave a dagger inscribed: lie will always be the same in good times and Hitler took the salute at a groat march past in the Untcr Den Linden.
