CLAIMS OF CHINESE.
TOKIO, April 20. The Foreign Office spokesman has chosen the moment of Japan’s new drive in Shantung to deny the Chinese claims of sensational victories in North China,
The spokesman said Japan had undertaken a difficult task in clearing the enemy from a widespread area in which unfavourable situation inevitably developed but her faith was unshaken in the eventual attainment of her objectives.
