CHRISTIAN SCIENCE CHURCHES.
Christ Jesus was the subject of the lesson-sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday. The golden text was II Corin. 4:5, “We preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.” Among the citations which comprised the lesson-sermon were the following from the Bible: “Jesus cried and said, He that believetli on Me, believeth not on Me, but on Him that sent Me. For I have not spoken of Myself; but -the Father which sent Me, He gave Me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.” (John 12: 44, 49). Also the following passages from the Christian Science textbook, “Science and Health •frith Key to. the Scriptures,” by Mary Baker Eddy: “Jesus was born of Mary. Christ is the true idea voicing good, the Divine message from God to men speaking to the human consciousness. Thus it is that Christ illustrates the coincidence, or spiritual agreement, between God and man in His image. The advent of Jesus of Nazareth marked the first century of the Christian era, but the Christ is without beginning of years or end of days.” (pp. 332, 333).
