LONDON, Feb. 8. “When facilities for.sport are so numerous and so easy of access on weekdays as in Dorchester, it seems a great pity that the Sabbath should be used as a holiday instead of a Holy Day,” wrote the former cricketer, Gilbert Jessop, whose son is vicar of the local church, to the Dorchester Municipality.
