ASHHURST

(From Our Own Correspondent.) ASHHURST, Feb. 22. On Saturday evening the Ashhurst Hall presented a gay scene, the occasion being a social evening tendered the ladies’ committee and workers at the gala day function by the Hall Committee. The entertainment consisted of games, competitions, and dancing, music being provided by Mrs Hewitt and Mr J. Hodgett. Mr Bristow gave a song, also leading a short community sing. The competitions were very interesting. Messrs Woodroofe and Finlay presented prizes to the ladies. Two competition shoots were fired on the Ashhurst range on Saturday.
