PROGRESS IN'fEILDING
FURTHER LAND PURCHASE
The following telegram has been received by the “Standard” from Hon. J. G. Cobbe in connection with ■ the State housing scheme in Feilding: “I am pleased to inform you that Mr J. A. Lee, Parliamentary Undersecretary, advises me to-day that Cabinet has approved of the purchase of a further area of land at Feilding for housing purposes. This area is owned by Mrs J. Poad and is situated in Lytton Street, and will accommodate eleven houses. This is in addition to the area already acquired. It is understood the housing scheme will be extended as the present contract nears completion.”
