BENEFICIAL RAIN.
Steady rain set in yesterday at noon in Feilding, and continued throughout last night and this morning. Mr F. Mason, Sandon Road, reports that up to 9 a.m. this morning. 64 points had .been recorded. He stated that the rain would do an immense amount of good and would be welcomed by farmers and gardeners alike. No wind had accompanied the rain to spoil its effect.
Rain was still falling at noon today.
