WOODVILLE, Dec. 7.
The secretary of the Bush Co-operative Herd Testing Association (Mr J. C. Carbines), in his summary of group 30-day averages for all cows tested during November, 1937, in his district, states that the number of cows tested in Woodville totalled 641, the milk being*- 934 gallons, tho test 4.5 and the fat 441 b. A violin recital was given by Alan Lovcday, of Palmerston North, in the Women’s Institute Hall and an appreciable sum will be added to the fund which is being raised-to enable him to Study overseas. Organised by Miss G. Johnston, L.R.S.M., of Woodv.ille, the concert also comprised items by her pupils. Pupils of Miss J. Stevenson also assisted with the programme.
