MORTGAGE BILL PASSED.
AMENDMENTS PROMISED. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Dec. 7. In the Legislative Council the Mortgagors and Lessees Rehabilitation Amendment Bill was put through all stages and passed. In moving the committal of the measure, the Leader of the Council (Hon. M. Eagan) stated that the Statutes Revision Committee, to which it had been referred, had suggested several amendments and he gave an assurance that certain of these would bo made by Governor-General’s Message before the close of the present part of the session.
