WHIROKINO HIGHWAY.
FORMATION ALMOST FINISHED.
Formation work in building up the Whirokino stretch of the main highway south of Foxton is practically finished, and only three men now remain at this work. Preparations for the driving of pil&3 to carry the long concrete trestle structure are now under way. This will be 14ft high at its highest point, and will be connected with the old bridge in the meantime.
