SPECIAL COMMITTEE.
REPORT ON LEGISLATION. Per Press Assocation. WELLINGTON, Nov. 25. . The faking of evidence on the Local Government (Amalgamation Schemes) Bill will be commenced on Tuesday morning by a special committee appointed by the House of Representatives to report on the legislation. Hon. AY. E. Barnard will be chairman. It is stated that, with a large number of requests made by the local authorities for representatives to give evidence, the committee will be sitting fairly regularly from Tuesday onwards.
