TROTS POSTPONED.
FORBURY PARK. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Nov. 25. On account of the state of the track, after heavy overnight rain {he first day of the Eorbiiry Park trots has been postponed until to-morrow. SPORTSMEN "ANNOYED. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Nov. 25. A party of Onmaru sportsmen, arriving for the Forbury Park trots, which were to have been held to-day, were so annoyed at finding the meeting postponed that tney have telegraphed a protest to the New Zealand Trotting Conference. Nevertheless the effect of the rain on the track surface, which was recently renewed with fresh clay which has not bound as expected, rendered it unfit and dangerous to horses and drivers alike, and the committee’s decision is approved by the owners, trainers anrl drivers.
