LETTER TO HIMSELF.
AUSTRALIAN PREMIER. AMUSING EXPERIENCE. Received November 25, 8.5 a.m. CANBERRA, Nov. 24. Having broken all records as leader of the Commonwealth Government and filled more portfolios than any other man, the Australian Prime Minister, Mr J. A. Lyons, colloquially known as “Honest Joe,” revealed yesterday that in his temporary role as Minister of Defence he wrote a letter to himself as Prime Minister, wherein he made certain recommendations threatening serious consequences if the Prime Minister rejected them. Mr Lyons will be in a position to announce his new Ministry in a few days. Sir Arcbdale Parklnll, who was defeated at the recent Federal poll, tendered liis resignation as Minister or Defence during the week-end. Mr W. M: Hughes is freely mentioned as his successor.
