BOXING.
ULTIMATUM TO PROMOTER. NEW YORK, Aug. 28. The German heavyweight Sclimeling announces that he is sending an ultimatum to the promoter, Mike Jacobs, stating that unless Jacobs matches him against the winner of the LouisFarr contest in October on terms giving him 30 per cent, of the receipts Sclimeling will start a campaign of bouts in the United States and Europe without Jacobs’s sponsorship, with the intention of exhausting the available supply of opponents for Louis.
