MINISTER IMPRESSED.
PROGRESS OF AUSTRALIA
Received August 30, 8.5 a.m. SYDNEY, Aug. 30.
Interviewed before his departure for New Zealand, Hon. R. Semple said Australia had progressed enormously since his last visit. Australia was well governed and should become the principal bulwark of the Empire. He had been impressed with the magnificent resources of Australia. If it had New Zealand’s climate it would be the most fertile country in the world.
