SILVER WEDDING
Mr and Mrs J. Johnson, of Manchester Street, Fcilding, celebrated the 25th anniversary of their wedding last week, when a social evening was held at their residence. Mrs Johnson was gowned in a frock of black georgette and carried a bouquet of violets. Vocal items were contributed by Master Cyril Johnson, Mr Will Young, Palmerston North, and Mrs W. Young, Palmerston North. The toast of the evening was sponsored by Mr A. 'L'. Humphrey, Palmerston North, and musically honoured. Miss Thelma Young being the accompaniste. Mr and Mrs Johnson were the recipients of many ornamental and useful tokens of esteem.
