WDODVILLE.

AVOODVILLE, Aug. 28. Air and Airs T. L. Farmer, of Auckland, are visiting AVoodville. Mr Farmer was formerly on the teaching staff of the AA’oodville School. A gloom was cast over the district when it became known that Airs Alargaret Agnes Cairns, wife of Air Robert Cairns, of AVbodvillfe, had passed away at a Pahiatua private hospital. Her health had not been 'occasioning any serious anxiety; and her demise ca.ine as a sudden shock. As a member of a family widely known and highly resoected in the district, the late Mrs Cairns was a loyal and devoted supporter of the Presbyterian Church, her work being carried on unselfishly and unobtrusively. Besides her husband, those'left to mourn their loss are a daughter, AVinifred, and two sons, Robert and John. The interment took place yesterday at the AVoodville cemetery, the service being conducted by Rev. J. 11. Boyd. ’ The chairman of the AAoodlaiuls Road school (Mr AV.
