Per Press Association. , ■ WELLINGTON, Aug. 29. The final of the grand opera contest on Saturday night resulted as follows, tile figures being for the first and second arias, respectively: Air A. K. Chappell (Wellington), 90 and 89 Airs Russell Secular (AA anganui), 90 and 84 __ 2 Air Ken Alncaulay (Wellington), 88 and 86 .••• ••• 3 Miss Audrey Holdgate (Timaru), 87 and 86 • ’ The prize is a return fare to Ballarat and Alelbourne and expenses of the competition in the Sun aria from grand opera contest in October.
