CHRISTIAN SCIENCE
Christ. Jesus was the subject of the lesson-sermon in all the Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday. The golden text was from John 5:22, 23, “The Father judgest no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: that all men should honour the Son,' even as thev honour the Father.” Among the citations which comprised the lesson-sermon were the following from the Bible: “Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; behold, a virgin shall conceive, and hear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel.” Also the following passages from the Christian Science textbook, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.” by Alary Baker Eddy; “Jesus was the son of a virgin. Ho was appointed to speak God s word and to appear to mortals m such a form of humanity as they cduld understand as well as perceive. Alary s conception of him was spiritual, for only purity could reflect truth and love, which were plainly incarnate m the good and pure Christ Jesus, 332.)
