LUCKY ESCAPE
CROSSING COLLISION. Per Press Association. CARTERTON, Aug. 30. A collision took place at Belvedere railway crossing this morning between the southbound railcar and a motor ear driven by Mr J. Saba, of Eeatherston. The motorist failed to notice tlio ra.ilcar in time and the railcar tore off the bumper, smashed a mudguard and broke a lamp. Nobody was injured. '
